Background

Tanya Barton is the Juvenile Justice Project Manager for the Children’s Law Center’s Juvenile Justice Team. She supervises the Center’s juvenile justice projects and provides training, data analysis, and technical assistance to juvenile justice professionals.  Tanya’s work experience includes managing a Supportive Case Management program in Upstate New York for older youth and adults who live with severe and persistent mental illness. Before joining the Children’s Law Center, Tanya worked for the South Carolina Continuum of Care, serving youth and families with some of the most complex and challenging behavioral and emotional health care needs. In 2016, Tanya was the first person in South Carolina to receive the National Wraparound Implementation Center’s (NWIC) Certification to coach and train the High-Fidelity Wraparound model for the state. Tanya currently holds a Bachelor of Social Work degree and is working on her master’s degree in social work.
