Biography

Katie Bateman serves as the Court Liaison for Aiken, Bamberg, Barnwell, and Edgefield counties. She assists the family court by tracking and expediting the legal processing of child protection and termination of parental rights (TPR) cases. She is responsible for reviewing case files, preparing information sheets for the court, and assisting in resolving issues to prevent delayed hearings. Prior to joining the Children’s Law Center she was employed with Aiken and Pickens County Department of Social Services. She also has two years of experience as a mental health counselor.
