Background

Emily Bennett serves as the Court Liaison for Charleston County with the Children’s Law Center.  She assists the family court by tracking and expediting the legal processing of child protection and termination of parental rights (TPR) cases. She is responsible for reviewing case files, preparing information sheets for the court, and assisting in resolving issues to prevent delayed hearings. Prior to joining the Children’s Law Center, Emily was a Child Protective Services Case Manager with the South Carolina Department of Social Services and an Appeals Coordinator with the University of North Carolina Health Care System. She holds a B.A. in Communication/Media Studies from the College of Charleston.
