Background

Blanche Q. Richey is a Resource Attorney and the Publications Coordinator for the Children’s Law Center.  She is responsible for research and the preparation of legal and related resource and training materials and provides consultation and editing assistance to Center staff. Prior to joining the Children’s Law Center, she was an Attorney and Family Court Team Leader for the Richland County Public Defender’s Office where she represented indigent juveniles in family court proceedings and served as defense counsel for the Juvenile Drug Court. She received her law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law and a B.A. in Psychology from Davidson College. She is a member of the South Carolina Bar and the Georgia Bar.
