Valentine's Day is not just for people in relationships, it's for everyone. To celebrate the people you care about the most, check out these events and date night ideas.

Dinner with a view at Top of Carolina

South Carolina’s only 360-degree rotating restaurant, Top of Carolina, will be hosting its annual Valentine’s Day dinner on Friday (Feb. 14) from 6 to 8 p.m. This date night will consist of a delicious three-course meal and a bird's-eye view of the city of Columbia. The dinner will be $70 per couple with a bottle of champagne included or $60 per couple with a bottle of sparkling cider included. Reservations can be made on the restaurant’s Yelp page.

Musical bingo

Enjoy a Valentine's-themed night of musical bingo complete with free pizza, sodas and prizes Thursday (Feb. 13) starting at 11 p.m. at Village Idiot in Five Points. The event is free for students with a valid Carolina Card, so no matter what, everyone's a winner.

Mike Johnson’s dating game

Looking for true love? You might just find it with a little help from Mike Johnson from “The Bachelorette.” Head over to the Russell House Ballroom Feb. 19 at 7 p.m. for the chance to find your match during this one of a kind dating experience.

UofSC Dance Company spring concert

Witness the incredible talent of the UofSC Dance Company at their spring concert Wednesday-Friday (Feb. 12-14) at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday (Feb. 15) at 2 p.m. at the Drayton Hall Theatre. You can expect to see an exciting and challenging repertory of innovative contemporary choreography. Tickets are $15 for students. 

Baseball’s home opener

For the love of baseball, head to Founders Park at 4 p.m. Friday for Gamecock baseball’s home opener against Holy Cross. 

UofSC Theater presents "Eurydice"

You won’t want to miss UofSC Theater’s production of Eurydice. Hailed by The New York Times as one of the best plays of the last 25 years, “Eurydice” is Sarah Ruhl’s inventive reimagining of a tragic Greek myth from its heroine’s perspective. Queen and Slim at Russell House

Carolina productions will be showing the award winning film Queen and Slim at the Russell House Theater Feb. 14-16. Entry is free, so this movie date night is perfect for couples on a college budget.

All the single ladies: Valentine’s Day ball
