April Barnes was named executive director of University Housing on January 14, 2019. She came to us from Eastern Kentucky University, where she previously worked as Executive Director of Housing and Residence Life. April has a Bachelor of Arts in English and Secondary Education and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership, both from the University of North Dakota. She is ABD for a Doctor of Education from Eastern Kentucky University. She has been active in the Association of College and University Housing Officers International, serving on the Research Committee and the Program Committee since 2016.
