Congratulations to the graduates of the 2019-2020 [pdf] Pipeline for Academy Leaders (PAL) and Emerging Leaders Program (ELP). These employees completed a year-long cohort-based professional development program that equipped them to be the future leaders of our university.

Over the course of an academic year, participants engaged in targeted professional development activities that focused on the following core competencies:

• Leading Change
• Leading People
• Managing for Results
• Institutional Knowledge and Understanding
• Building Effective Relationships

Within those broad categories, participants learned more about self-management, influencing others, developing effective teams, and managing change in their areas of expertise. They also learned about the university’s academic and administrative culture and work process through interaction within the institution’s leadership.
