This policy has been submitted for expedited approval pursuant to the October 1, 2022 implementation date. However, please submit any comments for review during this open comment period. This document sets forth the University of South Carolina’s Paid Parental Leave (PPL) policy which provides six weeks or two weeks of paid parental leave upon the occurrence of a qualifying event to employees who occupy all or part of a full-time equivalent (FTE) position, pursuant to Section 8-11-150 (A) and Section 8-11-155 of the South Carolina Code of Laws and the regulations of the South Carolina Division of State Human Resources.
