The Office of the Vice President for Research is pleased to announce the application period for the 2017-2018 SPARC graduate research grant program. We will accept SPARC grant applications through Wednesday, October 11, at 5:00 p.m.

All graduate students who apply for a SPARC grant must attend an application workshop prior to submitting their proposals. The workshop schedule and registration form are included below. The Office of Research encourages students to register ahead for the session of their choice to assure a streamlined sign-in experience, but registration is not required to attend any session. Students who register for a SPARC workshop session, but are unable to attend, are not required to provide notice that they will absent.

In addition to the SPARC workshops, graduate students applying for SPARC may be interested in attending the optional Grant Writing Basics Workshop offered by the Office of the Vice President for Research on Thursday, September 21. (The Grant Writing Basics Workshop is not required to apply for a SPARC Grant.)

SPARC Workshop Registration Form

Registration for SPARC 2017 workshops is now closed. Walk-ins are welcome at the final session on Monday, September 25, with no registration required. The last day to request workshop alternatives is Wednesday, October 4. Contact Dr. Lauren Clark for alternatives by October 4.
