In case you missed it: RADM Selby presentation on Reimagining Naval Power

Last Wednesday, the College of Engineering and Computing welcomed Rear Admiral Lorin Selby, Chief of Naval Research with the Office of Naval Research (ONR), the Navy’s premier Science and Technology development organization. RADM Selby presented a seminar entitled Reimagine Naval Power. For those who were not able to attend the seminar on campus, we are pleased to share a recording of RADM Selby’s talk on YouTube.

Don’t forget: UofSC Libraries Love Data Week 2022 fast approaching

University Libraries is pleased to celebrate Love Data Week 2022 by providing access to data-related programming next week, February 14 – 18 and beyond. Learn about data management services, digital publishing services, your rights as an author, introductory text analysis tools and more. Event descriptions and registration are available at the UofSC Love Data Week 2022 website.

 

Due next week: Magellan Scholar program seeks proposals

The Magellan Scholar undergraduate research award is open to undergraduates, all campuses, and all disciplines. Magellan Scholars receive up to $3,000 to help fund a faculty-mentored research project, competing for this award with the submission of a research, scholarship or creative project proposal. Students are required to review the application video series prior to preparing the project description. For more information and to register for access to the video series, please see the Magellan Scholar webpage. Please encourage your students to apply for Magellan Scholar by the submission deadline (through USCeRA) at 5:00 p.m., on Wednesday, February 16.
