Up to $100,000 available in student loan forgiveness from the NIH for researchers

The NIH is currently accepting applications from researchers for programs that will repay up to $100,000 in student loan debt in return for two years of research. The Loan Repayment Programs (LRPs) are two-year contracts between the NIH and researchers conducting biomedical or behavioral research that will help such researchers with their student loans. Nearly 50 percent of applications are funded on average, so researchers at USC are encouraged to apply by next week’s deadline, Thursday, November 17, 2022. Go to the LRP application website to learn more about how to apply and find helpful materials for creating a competitive application.
