Check it out: New Office of Research policy on non-compliance related to sponsored awards

Recipients of federal and other external funds must comply with all sponsor-imposed regulations, requirements and policies. As the recipient organization, USC is required to ensure its compliance as well as that of its employees. To help the university ensure compliance, the Office of the Vice President for Research has implemented a policy to define consequences for those who do not comply. View the new policy on the SAM website.

Research Preregistration: Submit your research plan to promote openness and reproducibility

University Libraries will host a workshop on research preregistration on Monday, March 27 from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm. Preregistering your research creates a time-stamped plan for your hypothesis, study design and data analysis that can help you meet publishing requirements and affirm your commitment to research integrity and reproducibility. During this virtual session, Amie Freeman, Scholarly Communication and Open Initiatives Librarian, and Stacy Winchester, Research Data Librarian, will teach the basics of preregistration and how to preregister your research plan with Open Science Framework. Register online here.

New service seeking volunteers to support research

The Office of the Vice President for Research encourages anyone who is interested to sign up as a volunteer on ResearchMatch. ResearchMatch brings together people who are trying to find research studies and researchers who are looking for people to participate in their health-related studies. The program makes it easy for researchers to connect with volunteers and further their research projects. Anyone can register with ResearchMatch, including healthy volunteers, and signing up is easy! Visit the ResearchMatch website for more information and to register.
