Excel Program Funding Offers Faculty in Liberal Arts, Humanities, and Social Science Support in Creative and Scholarly Excellence

In support of faculty scholarship and career advancement in the liberal arts, humanities and social sciences, the Office of the Vice President for Research is excited to announce that applications are open for Excel funding for the 2024 year. Now in its second funding round, the Excel Funding Program is open to both tenure-track and non-tenured faculty at USC Columbia and all Palmetto College campuses.

Quick Funding Facts:

  • Projects may be funded up to $18,000 with a requested project period of up to 15 months beginning May 1, 2024.
  • Funds can be used in a variety of ways depending on the project. Coverage for travel, graduate student salary, project supplies, and publication costs are among the allowed uses for this funding package.

Excel applications are due Tuesday, October 24, 2023.
