Outstanding Graduate Students Can Now Apply for SPARC

The Office of the Vice President for Research is excited to announce the Support to Promote Advancement of Research and Creativity graduate research grant program (SPARC). This is a merit-based award that is designed to promote excellence in creative and research excellence across graduate disciplines at USC. SPARC applications are due by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, November 14, 2023. 

Application and Eligibility Quick Facts:

  • Eligible graduate students can secure up to $5,000 to support their research, creative, or other meritorious scholarly project 
  • Review of the applicant’s merit will be based on intrinsic merit, project design, likelihood of completion, student qualifications, and the impact the project will have on the student’s graduate education as a whole. 
  • This competitive grant process requires applicants to watch a video detailing the specifics of the award program before applying. Access to this video and other vital information is available here.
