Monetary Policy Strategy Talk – Darla Moore School of Business

On Wednesday, September 27 at 5:30 p.m., Charles L. Evans, Former President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, will be on campus to deliver a talk on the durability of the 2020 revision to the Fed’s long-run monetary policy strategy. The talk will include a discussion period detailing the 2021 inflation period, LR strategy, and challenges for formulating central bank strategy in response to large-scale supply disruptions. Excel Funding for Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences Now Accepting Proposals 

The Excel funding program is now open for faculty project proposals for up to $18,000 in funding for faculty research in the liberal arts, humanities, and social sciences. Excel applications are due Tuesday, October 24, 2023. Read more about this funding opportunity here

 

Faculty: Encourage your undergraduate students to apply for Magellan Scholar

The Office of Undergraduate Research is now accepting Magellan Scholar grant applications. Magellan Scholar proposals are due in USCeRA by Wednesday, October 11, at 5:00 p.m. This program is open to all UofSC undergrads studying all disciplines on all campuses with minimum institutional GPA of 3.200. Magellan Scholars receive up to $2,500 to help fund a faculty-mentored research project. Students compete for this award by submitting a research, scholarship or creative project proposal. Students are required to review the application video prior to preparing the project description. 2024 SPARC Graduate Research Grant Applications Due November 14, 2023

The Office of the Vice President for Research is pleased to announce the application period for the 2024 SPARC graduate research grant program. 2024 SPARC grant applications are due by Tuesday, November 14 at 5:00 p.m. All graduate students who apply for a SPARC grant must view an application workshop video prior to submitting their proposals.
