Concerts and Special Events in the School of Music are scheduled in accordance with the following guideline:

October	Establish General Calendar for the following academic year (Start/end dates of classes; Relevant Conferences (e.g. SCMEA), Significant Events (e.g. audition days, home football games).
November	USC Ensemble conductors establish concert dates.
December-January	Faculty establish faculty recital dates for fall and spring of next academic year.
February	Grad/Doctoral students establish Required Recital dates for Fall semesters only.
Early-March	Students establish Degree-Required Recital dates for Fall semesters only.
Mid-March	Students establish Elective, Non-Degree Required Recital dates for Fall semesters only.
August	Opportunity for students to change recital date, and new students to select a date for the fall semester (e.g. to be completed by the last day of the first week of classes).
Early-October	Grad/Doctoral students establish Required Recital dates for Spring semesters only.
Mid-October	Students establish Degree-Required Recital dates for Spring semesters only.
November	Students establish Elective, Non-Degree Required Recital dates for Spring semesters only.
