The Executive Committee is elected by the music faculty to advise the Dean regarding
substantive issues related to the School of Music. At the first faculty meeting of
the Fall semester, voting faculty will select four committee members through a preferential
ranking method. The committee membership must include one faculty member of full
professor rank, one faculty member of associate professor rank, and one faculty member
of assistant professor rank:
- Year 1 (odd) – Elect 1 Assistant, 1 Associate, 1 At-Large (Assoc or Full). Elect 1 Full for a 2-year term
- Year 2 (even) – Elect 1 Asst, 1 At-Large. Elect 1 Assoc for 2-year term. (No election for Full)
- Year 3 (odd) – Elect 1 Asst, 1 At-Large. Elect 1 Full for 2-year term. (No election for Assoc.)
- Year 4 (even) – Elect 1 Asst, 1 At-Large. Elect 1 Assoc for 2-year term. (No election for Full)
- Repeat Years 3 and 4.
(ex officio: Tayloe Harding, Dean; Birgitta Johnson, Associate Dean for DEI. Other Assoc Deans will serve when the agenda requires their participation)
