Dr. Stephen Cutler has been named dean of the South Carolina College of Pharmacy and will join the university July 1.
Dr. Cutler will lead the college as it completes a transition from the South Carolina College of Pharmacy to the USC College of Pharmacy. He was previously chair of the Department of BioMolecular Sciences and a medicinal chemistry professor at the University of Mississippi, and lead a $10 million NIH-funded Center for Biomedical Research Excellence. Dr. Cutler received his pharmacy training and PhD in medicinal chemistry from the University of Georgia.
