Women's History Month Events

Since 1987, Women's History Month has been observed in the United States every March. The Provost's Advisory Committee on Women's Issues (PACWI) has compiled some excellent opportunities during this month to celebrate women and their contributions, both past and present.

For example, South Carolina Political Collections is mounting an exhibit in the Brittain gallery, Hollings Library, for the months of March and April titled "SCPC Celebrates Women's History Month."  One case will highlight Tunky Riley's life and work, while the other case will highlight the collections of Sarah Leverette, Modjeska Simkins, Keller Barron, Harriet Keyserling and the League of Women Voters.
