On Thursday, July 21, the Carolina Center on Alzheimer’s Disease and Minority Research will host a one-day workshop on High-Impact Alzheimer's Disease Registry Research for Scholars of Color at the UofSC Columbia campus. The purpose of the workshop is to introduce scholars to the data available in the three statewide Alzheimer’s disease registries, brainstorm project ideas, network with other scholars and connect with senior mentors. The primary goal of this opportunity is to provide a mechanism for senior faculty to mentor junior underrepresented minority scholars in Alzheimer’s Disease registry research. No prior experience conducting research using secondary data is required to participate. Faculty members interested in attending the workshop must complete the workshop application by tomorrow, Friday, June 24, 2022.
