NIH Researchers: Don’t miss out on an upcoming NIH virtual visit to campus

University Libraries and Research Computing invite the UofSC research community to a special National Institutes of Health (NIH) virtual visit offered via MS Teams Event on Friday, September 30, at 11:00 a.m. During the session, presenters from the NIH Scientific Data Sharing Policy Division and UofSC will provide information and answer questions for UofSC researchers about the agency’s new Data Sharing Policy and resources available on our campus for compliance. The session will begin at this MS Teams link on Friday, September 30, at 11:00 a.m. RSVP here to receive event updates and reminders. 2023 SPARC applications due October 12, 2022

The Office of the Vice President for Research is pleased to announce the application period for the 2023 SPARC graduate research grant program. 2023 SPARC grant applications are due by Wednesday, October 12, at 5:00 p.m. Complete information about the application process, including all 2022-2023 SPARC application materials are available on the SPARC program page. All graduate students who apply for a SPARC grant must view an application workshop video prior to submitting their proposals. Office of Research issues call for 2023 Breakthrough award nominations

The Office of the Vice President for Research is seeking nominations for three Breakthrough signature awards: the Breakthrough Leadership in Research award for senior faculty, Breakthrough Stars for early-career faculty and Breakthrough Graduate Scholars for outstanding graduate students. Each of these awards has been carefully designed to recognize and honor scholarly excellence throughout the Carolina research community, providing opportunities for recognition at every career level. All 2023 Breakthrough award nominations are due by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2022.
