Upcoming Deadline: Discover USC 2023 presenter registration deadline Friday, March 3

The registration deadline for students, medical scholars and postdocs interested in presenting at Discover USC 2023 is coming up next week, on Friday, March 3. Discover USC, hosted by the Office of the Vice President for Research, showcases research, scholarship, leadership and creative projects by undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral scholars and medical scholars representing the entire USC System. We encourage faculty members to remind students and colleagues to register for Discover USC ahead of the upcoming deadline.

 

New service seeking volunteers to support research

The Office of the Vice President for Research encourages anyone who is interested to sign up as a volunteer on ResearchMatch. ResearchMatch brings together people who are trying to find research studies and researchers who are looking for people to participate in their health-related studies. The program makes it easy for researchers to connect with volunteers and further their research projects. Anyone can register with ResearchMatch, including healthy volunteers, and signing up is easy! Core Spotlight: COBRE CTT Functional Genomics Core

Research Cores at USC are centralized shared research resources that provide access to equipment, instruments, technology and expertise to faculty and investigators, and facilitate cutting-edge research to stimulate and increase research productivity and encourage collaboration. This week the Office of Research is highlighting the COBRE CTT Functional Genomics Core. The Functional Genomics Core, one of three COBRE cores, offers resources and solutions for conducting genomics, transcriptomics, epigenomics and functional genomics projects. The core assists with all stages of the project, from support in grant development to generation of publication-quality data. Visit the COBRE CTT Functional Genomics Core website to learn more.

 

Register now for University Libraries research workshops

Each semester, University Libraries hosts a variety of workshops for members of the USC community on research-related topics, including research data management, digital publishing and text analysis. Over the next week, University Libraries will host three workshops: Introduction to ICPSR, the Graduate Student Research Toolbox and Research Data Management Basics. The workshops will take place virtually and the event URL for each workshop will be sent via registration confirmation email.
