Ashlee Daniels Taylor

Ashlee Daniels Taylor is an interdisciplinary artist, specializing in somatics, dance performance, and interactive media design. Through choreographic research, Taylor explores notions of experience and collaborative process with rigorous, athletic movement and somatic investigation. They approach their research from an interdisciplinary standpoint, using digital media tools and cybernetic strategies as partners in these collaborative investigations. Taylor received their MFA in Dance with an interdisciplinary specialization in Fine Arts from The Ohio State University and their BFA in dance from Columbia College in South Carolina. She has performed the work of renowned artists such as Bebe Miller, Dan Wagoner, Lisa Wheeler, Tania Isaac, Daniel Roberts, and danah bella. Through residency work and choreographic research Taylor strives to foster connections between individuals and their body awareness in an effort to encourage personal well-being and interpersonal community-building, keeping an open dialogue of the many ways that the moving body can revive the human experience and reveal our interconnectedness.
