Beginning November 15, 2021 two additional Microsoft features will be available to UofSC. Office 365 Audio Conferencing for Microsoft Teams and access to Power BI Pro will be available to faculty and staff who login to Office 365 using their Network Username and password.
The Teams dial-in access will allow users and external meeting participants to join a Microsoft Teams call via phone. This is particularly helpful if meeting participants do not have an internet connection or an affiliation with the university. The feature allows them to join a Teams meeting by phone. All university faculty and staff who have not previously purchased the Teams dial-in feature from Software Distribution will receive an email from Microsoft with an individual PIN. The email, which will look similar to the one shown below, will be sent around November 15 and contain a unique PIN for each individual. Please keep this email and pin for future reference.

In addition to the dial-in feature, Power BI Pro, Microsoft's cloud-based business analytics service, will be available free-of-charge to UofSC beginning November 15. Power BI allows users to analyze data and create data visualizations.
Users who previously paid for a subscription to Power BI will not be charged in the future. Subscriptions will be renewed at $0.
Affiliates will have access to these features if they purchased the full Microsoft license through Software Distribution.
