Vendor Resources 

The following vendors are contracted through the South Carolina Public Employee Benefits Authority (PEBA) or partner with UofSC to provide benefits services. Use these resources to get answers to your questions and learn more about all the benefits available to you as a UofSC employee.

Are you leaving money on the table? MoneyPlus is a tax-favored accounts program that allows you to save money on eligible medical and dependent care costs. You fund the accounts with money deducted pretax from your paycheck. ASIFlex administers the MoneyPlus program.

State Health Plan coverage includes prescription benefits at no extra cost. Prescription drugs are a major benefit to you and a major part of the cost of our self-insured health plan. 

The following resources provide an overview of the the prescription benefits included in the state health plan:

EyeMed administers the State Vision Plan. This plan offers coverage for comprehensive eye exams, frames, lenses and lens options, and contact lens services and materials.

The South Carolina Public Employee Benefit Authority (PEBA) offers Group Supplemental Long Term Disability (SLTD) insurance to eligible employees through The Standard. The Standard brochure [pdf] provides an overview of the type of coverage offered through their plan. If coverage becomes effective and you become insured, you will receive a group insurance certificate containing more detailed information.

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) has a broad range of support services [pdf] including financial counseling, marriage counseling, free legal assistance, supervisory support and mental health resources.

Member Access is the online resource that allows you to view and update the personal information on file for your retirement account.

The South Carolina Deferred Compensation Program (Deferred Comp) offers a unique opportunity for you to save for your future. It is a straightforward way to work toward the retirement income you desire. Deferred Comp is available to most members covered by the South Carolina Retirement Systems, and Empower Retirement administers the program.

TIAA is dedicated to helping you to and through retirement. Get free personalized advice and education through a TIAA financial consultant [pdf] today. Consultants can help people who are just starting out, mid-career, or transitioning to retirement.

The new State ORP contract, which begins January 1, 2022, was awarded to AIG Retirement Services (AIG), Empower Retirement, TIAA and Voya Financial (Voya).

As a result of this award, MetLife Resources (MetLife) will no longer be a State ORP service provider, and Voya will be a new State ORP service provider beginning January 1, 2022.

For MetLife-ORP Participants ONLY

The new State ORP contract, which begins January 1, 2022, was awarded to AIG Retirement Services (AIG), Empower Retirement, TIAA and Voya Financial (Voya). 

As a result of this award, MetLife Resources (MetLife) will no longer be a State ORP service provider, and Voya will be a new State ORP service provider beginning January 1, 2022. More information about the transition to Voya is available at peba.sc.gov/orp-transition.
