COP faculty among top-cited global researchers

Several faculty members from the USC College of Pharmacy have been recognized among a recent list of the world’s top-cited researchers.

Charles Bennett, Lorne Hofseth, Campbell McInnes, Igor Roninson, Michael Wyatt and Ismaeel Yunusa are included on a list compiled annually by Stanford University and Elsevier, an academic publishing company.

"This recognition, highlighting six College of Pharmacy faculty named among the world's top-cited researchers, affirms our position as a global leader in health-improving research driven by world-class faculty who educate and inspire the next generation of scientists," says Hofseth, the college's associate dean for research.

The University of South Carolina had 148 faculty members across 11 colleges and schools named to the list — the highest number among in-state universities and in the top half among SEC institutions.
