Research and Teaching Interests
Dr. Monroe's research interests center on how to best harness technologies to effectively promote and measure physical activity, as well as to effectively deliver behavioral weight control in adults. She has a particular focus on exploring strategies to best foster social support for these purposes.
Fall 2019 Health Promotion, Education, and Behavior Doctoral Applicants:
I will be accepting a health promotion doctoral student for Fall 2019. I encourage students who have strong academic records and a specific interest in technology-based (internet; social media; smartphone apps; wearables; etc.) physical activity promotion and behavioral weight control to apply this year for a Fall 2019 start.
