National Student Clearinghouse
The National Student Clearinghouse reports student enrollment and degree information
as an authorized agent for the University of South Carolina. Participating guarantors,
lenders or service providers will usually not require an individual enrollment verification
letter from USC.
Current Degree Candidates
Degree candidates who wish to request a transcript or degree verification showing their posted degree should be aware the graduation approval process could take up to 30 business days after graduation.
To check the status of a degree being posted, degree candidates should view their Academic Transcript in Self Service Carolina (choose Student Records tab, then Academic Transcript). Once your degree has been posted, you may proceed with ordering a transcript or requesting a degree verification.
Alumni and Third Parties
The National Student Clearinghouse provides enrollment verification to alumni and
third parties through their web portal. You may also reach the National Student Clearinghouse by phone at 703-742-4200.
To check the status of a degree being posted, students should view their Academic Transcript in Self Service Carolina (choose Student Records tab, then Academic Transcript). Once you have checked the status of your degree and it has been awarded, you may request your official transcript for degree verification purposes.
