Small groups of in-person tours will resume. Due to COVID-19, Big Friday will not be held in Spring 2021.

Virtual Information Sessions

Learn more about academics in the CEC. Dates Available at 3:30pm: March 4, March 11, March 16, March 23, April 1, April 8, April 13, April 20, April 29

Daily Tours

Daily tours are offered on various weekdays at 3:00 p.m. These general tours  of the College of Engineering and Computing are led by current engineering or computing students and cover a general overview of the college.

Self-Guided Tour

If you find yourself on campus, and would like to explore the CEC on your own. The Swearingen Building is open Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm.


These online (Zoom) events are for newly admitted students who are typically underrepresented (such as women and minorities) in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Those who attend will have the opportunity to explore the wide range of resources that the CEC has to offer for your success.

Admitted Student In-Person Information Sessions

In-Person information sessions for Admitted Students are available on select days: March 5 at 12pm, March 6 at 12pm, March 6 at 9:30am, March 19 at 12pm, March 27 at 9:30am,  March 31 at 9:30am, April 5 at 9:30am, April 9 at 12pm, April 12 at 9:30am,  April 17 at 9:30am,  April 24 at 9:30am

Big Friday

When on campus visits resume, Big Friday sessions occur on designated Fridays throughout the fall and spring semesters. Big Friday is a comprehensive overview of the College of Engineering and Computing and typically include a welcome from the dean of the college, a current student question and answer panel, and tours led by faculty in specific majors.
