Research is central to achieving the USC College of Engineering and Computing's mission to become a leader in technology innovation, engineering and computing education, and entrepreneurship. Research improves the quality of graduate programs and plays an important role in introducing undergraduates to exciting engineering opportunities. Our researchers partner with global laboratories and industries as well as other University of South Carolina colleges and schools.

Every senior-level undergraduate student participates in a Capstone Design course. In the course, teams apply laboratory research and classroom theory to industry-sponsored projects that solve real market problems.
