Job opening for High Temperature Electrochemical Materials and Energy Lab: Xue Ceramics Group, Mechanical Engineering

Graduate student positions

We are looking for self-motivated graduate students to work on solid oxide cells and oxygen separation membranes, including material synthesis, device fabrication, electrochemical testing and characterizations. Students with background in materials science and engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry, physics, and/or mechanical engineering are welcome to apply. Successful candidates will receive fully financial support including graduate research assistantship, tuition, student fee, and health insurance. The students in Dr. Xue’s group will receive rigorous training towards their further careers in both academia and industry.

We are also seeking self-motivated graduate students to work on multi-scale multi-physics modeling of solid oxide cells and gas separation membranes. Students with background in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or closely related field are welcome to apply. Successful candidates will receive fully financial support including graduate research assistantship, tuition, student fee, and health insurance. The students in Dr. Xue’s group will receive rigorous training towards their further careers in both academia and industry.

Postdoctoral fellow position

Postdoctoral position is available in Dr. Xue’s group. We are recruiting highly motivated postdocs to conduct researches on solid oxide cells and/or gas separation membranes, including new materials development, micro/nano-structured device fabrication, electrochemical testing and characterization, as well as fundamental mechanism understanding.  Successful applicant is expected to have a PhD with relevant research experience in the field. We will provide competitive salary, dependent on the experience of applicants.
