Daniel Sansbury, ’77, English

Retired in fall of 2023 after 42 years as pastor in the Presbyterian Church, USA. He served pastorates in N.C., TN and S.C.

Brian Nunnally, ’94, Chemistry & Marine Science

Last fall, Brian was promoted to run the entire Quality Control organization for CSL, including CSL-Behring, CSL-Seqirus, and CSL-Vifor. The organization encompasses laboratories in six countries, spread across the globe.

Hannah Stuart Lathan, ’12, Public Relations

Hannah Stuart Lathan and her husband Avery McCarthy are overjoyed to welcome their daughter, Helen (Elle) Stuart McCarthy. Born just before sunrise on January 7th, 2025, Elle arrived at 40 weeks and one day, weighing exactly what her growth scan projected – 8 pounds, 11 ounces. With a nickname – Elle – that is all her own, she shares her names with her aunt, cousin, mother and great-grandmother.

Nick Riley, ’12, Chemistry & Experimental Psychology

Nick was selected as one of four to receive a 2026 Early Career Research Award from the Biochemical Society. He also received the Arthur F. Findeis Award for Achievements by a Young Analytical Scientist and was selected as a 2025 Searle Scholar.

Taylor Jones, ’13, Applied Mathematics & Spanish

Taylor Jones and his wife Perrin live in Charlotte, N.C. The family welcomed future Gamecock, Leighton in 2022 and she enjoyed her first football game last year. Taylor has been promoted to Vice President of eCommerce and Digital at Sinomax USA, one of the largest global producers of bedding and mattresses. Taylor also launched a marketing consulting agency called Wishbone Advisory serving a diverse array of clients from healthcare, specialty chemicals and SaaS industries.

Ashlynn Wittchow, Ph.D., ’13, English

In 2024, Ashlynn graduated with a Ph.D. in English Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. Ashlynn joined the English department at Louisiana State University last fall as an Assistant Professor of English Education.

Spencer Fritts, ’14, Political Science

After graduating from the Honors College in 2014, Spencer decided to pursue a law career and attended Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law. Since then, he has clerked for three judges on the North Carolina Court of Appeals and worked for two plaintiff personal injury firms. In October 2025, he opened Morse Fritts PLLC in Raleigh with his law partner, Jacob Morse. Spencer’s practice focuses on helping those injured, harmed or wronged.

Kelly graduated from Georgetown University with a Masters in Public Relations and Corporate Communications.

Kailey is a J.D. candidate at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.

Lauren Gergick, ’22, Mechanical Engineering

Since graduating, Lauren has been enjoying her job as a Liaison Engineer at Boeing in her hometown of Charleston. She says she is lucky enough to interact with brilliant engineers across multiple functions on a daily basis to develop impactful solutions to help create safe and high quality 787 airplanes. In her time off, Lauren has traveled around the world to visit friends and family in India, Switzerland, Japan, Germany, and France. Her next goal is to visit her sister in Spain.

Kathleen started her first full-time job as a technical solutions engineer at Epic Systems last fall.

Natalie will be going to the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine.

Gloria Estein, ’25, International Business & Finance

Gloria will be joining Eaton's Finance Leadership development program, where she will have three rotations in the next two years, the first being in Beachwood, Ohio. Gloria will be doing financial/efficiency analysis, investor relations presentations, and FP&A. She chose the company because of their great growth opportunities, corporate culture, and sustainability goals.

Maggie O'Leary, ’25, Public Health, B.S.

Maggie was admitted to the Rollins School of Public Health (#2 nationally!) at Emory University to get a MPH in Environmental Health. Natalie was also named a merit scholar and received a 75% tuition scholarship as well as a student internship at a public health facility in Atlanta, GA.
