  • 2022 note

A new year brings new resolutions

Here we are at the start of a new year and the opportunity for a fresh start in every area of our lives, both personally and professionally. It is a chance to reflect on the challenges and successes from the past year and look ahead to what 2022 can bring. Read on to see what some of our colleagues and students hope to achieve in the coming year.

“Reflect, savor the present, don’t worry so much about the future, have faith, always forgive, and be nice.”

Lorne Hofseth  Interim Associate Dean for Research

“My New Year’s resolution is to become more nationally involved in pharmacy and make personal strides in maintaining wellness while keeping busy.”

Del Omer  Pharm.D. Candidate, Class of 2023

My resolution is to diversify my exercise. I’m a lifelong runner, but stubbornly only a runner. I want to bike more, do some light weightlifting - not body building!

Michael Wyatt  Chair, Department of Drug Discover & Biomedical Sciences

With the internet and social media being a huge part of my job, it’s easy to end up spending most of my day in front of a screen. In 2022, I’d like to spend more of my free time doing creative projects, going on walks, and reading books.

Malory Spicer  Web Communications Manager

My New Year's resolution is to lead a healthier lifestyle including a better diet and consistent exercise.  As a health care professional I cannot see myself recommending these modifications to my patients without leading by example.

Joseph Fields  Pharm.D. Candidate, Class of 2022
