Kevin Lu is an assistant professor at the College of Pharmacy and a research associate at the Hollings Cancer Center located in Medical University of South Carolina. He earned his Ph.D. in pharmaceutical health services research from the University of Maryland and his bachelor of science degree from Peking University.

Lu’s current researches focus on study design and the application of quantitative analysis of big data, including pharmacoeconomics, pharmacoepidemiology, comparative effectiveness study and drug safety evaluation techniques in pharmaceutical and health outcomes research. He is a member of the International Society of Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research and the International Society of Pharmacoepidemiology and serves as faculty adviser for ISPOR-USC Student Chapter and as vice president of the Chinese Association of Columbia. He has lent his professional expertise as a reviewer for a number of scientific journals and as a judge at international conferences.
