Master Class: Acting and Auditioning for the Camera

Veteran educators and TV/Film industry experts Brian Parsons and Tim Fall led students in a master class in Acting and Auditioning for the Camera, November 10, 2018, at the Lab Theatre. 

The five-hour seminar provided the participants with practical skills related to acting for the camera and techniques for on-camera auditioning, as well as valuable information about pursuing a career in the TV/Film industry.

About the Instructors

BRIAN PARSONS is currently the Associate Dean and Associate Professor of Theatre at Oklahoma City University. He has directed over 40 productions in the UK, US and Central Europe, and is the recipient of two directing awards in the UK.  Recent students of Brian’s include KIT HARRINGTON (Game of Thrones), BRENDAN PATRICKS (Downton Abbey), and LEANNE BEST (Star Wars: The Force Awakens).

TIMOTHY FALL is Visiting Assistant Professor of On-Camera Acting at Oklahoma City University, where he is in his 8th year of teaching. He has directed numerous workshops and camps, for all ages, in on-camera acting, filmmaking and improvisation.  Fall worked as an actor and screenwriter in Los Angeles for more than 20 years. He starred with Bob Newhart in the CBS series Bob, also appearing as a series regular on UPN’s Pig Sty and CBS’s Good Company. Recent film roles include Hosea, Wake Up with Jonathan Rhys-Myers, Lost in the Sun with Josh Duhamel, and From the Dead of Night with Dennis Quaid.
