Computer Science Education Week

To encourage more students to study computer science, Code.org organizes Computer Science Education Week (CSEdWeek) each year. This year, the week will take place December 7-13.

CEC Names New Dean

A distinguished engineering researcher with experience in forming industry partnerships has been hired to lead the University of South Carolina's College of Engineering and Computing. Hossein Haj-Hariri, an MIT-trained scientist who most recently served as professor and chair of the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, was appointed dean on Monday.
