Master’s in Health Information Technology prepares tomorrow’s industry leaders

The University of South Carolina’s College of Engineering and Computing is home to one of just a few accredited Master’s in Health Information Technology degrees in the country. The COVID-19 pandemic exposed the vulnerability and gaps in the U.S. healthcare industry and the need for skilled health I.T. professionals. The UofSC MHIT program, offered on-campus and online, boasts a 93 percent employment rate among graduates within one year of graduation and aims to fill these in demand positions.

The MHIT program is a unique partnership between the CEC’s Department of Integrated Information Technology and the Department of Health Services Policy and Management in the Arnold School of Public Health.

We also partner with the College of Pharmacy to offer the PharmD/MHIT dual degree program, preparing you to be a leader in medical informatics at all levels of health care.
