What drew you to the field of medicine?

I’ve always been interested in medicine and its impact on the human body. Becoming a doctor meant that I could fuse this passion for medicine with the purpose to better those around me. Through experiences such as volunteering at my local hospital and earning my medical assistant certification, I’ve dove deeper into medicine and solidified my drive to become a physician.  

What are your future plans?

At the moment, I am very fascinated by cardiothoracic surgery but am open to exploring the many other specialties out there. Regardless of the area of medicine that I decide on, I hope to one day run my own practice that focuses on serving the rural patient population.
