Why I chose the South Carolina Honors College

When making my college decision, finding a place where I felt valued was so important to me, and that’s what I’ve found at the SCHC. The support offered here is unmatched. The staff, advisors and faculty truly care about you, and want to see you not just accomplish your goals, but enjoy yourself in the process.

My advice for prospective students: Look for a university that supports you not just academically, but in all aspects of wellness. Yes, grades and life goals are so important, but so is your happiness.

Favorite question during an information session: What is your favorite thing about the Honors College?

The close-knit community. So many of my best friends are in the Honors College, and living with them in the same dorm our first year, taking really cool classes together and eventually graduating together is such an amazing opportunity.
