What does it mean to be "Undeclared" at UofSC?

Being an “undeclared” student at UofSC means that you are not yet enrolled in a specific degree-granting major. There are several reasons a student may be undeclared, the most common of which include:

  • Being undecided about academic path, career path, or both
  • Wanting to learn more about what majors are offered at UofSC
  • Trying to decide between a few majors of interest
  • Waiting until it is possible to move into a major of choice
