New Lancer Checklist
Completing your degree at the University of South Carolina will require math and foreign language courses. If you have not already completed these requirements, our placements will help determine which course(s) you need.
- Once your final high school and/or college grades are posted, be sure to submit your official transcripts to our Office of Admissions at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Official transcripts must be sent directly from your previous institution (high school or college).
- If you would like to confirm receipt, email admissions at email@example.com or live chat.
- Begin the financial aid process by completing your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA).
- Be sure to add USC Lancaster’s school code, 003426.
- Please note: Students starting in the fall semester must complete the 2021-22 application.
The option best suited for students who desire to complete New Lancer Orientation remotely. At Virtual New Lancer Orientation, students will receive welcoming greetings from USCL faculty and staff, engage in interactive activities with USCL Peer Advisors, attend a Virtual Campus Resource Fair, and learn about advising and registering for classes.
New Lancers pursuing the BSN will be advised and registered virtually on the day of their virtual orientation session.
New Lancers pursing an Associate of Arts (AA), Associate Science (AS), Associate of Science in Business (AS/B) and Associate of Science in Criminal Justice (AS/CJ) will have the opportunity to make an advising appointment held at a later date.
New Lancer Virtual Orientation Dates:
The option best suited for students that desire a traditional Orientation experience. At New Lancer In-Person Orientation, students will receive welcoming greetings from USCL faculty and staff, engage in interactive activities with USCL Peer Advisors, explore different areas of campus, attend a Campus Resource Fair, and create their Fall course schedules.
Students interested in attending New Lancer In-Person Orientation and interested in pursuing the BSN pathway are urged to attend one of the sessions held on July 14, July 20, or August 5.
New Lancer In - Person Orientation Dates:
Family and Guests of new Lancers can attend an optional Family and Guests Orientation. This session will be held virtually via the ZOOM virtual platform. Family and guests can expect to receive information on Financial Aid, Advising, Security, and more. Family and guests will then have the opportunity to voice questions in an open question and answer session. If a student's family member or guest is unable to attend the live Family and Guests Orientation session, recording of the virtual session can be provided upon request.
Family and guests may only attend New Lancer Orientation: Family and Guests Virtual Session if their student is attending a New Lancer Orientation Session as well.
