About Our Majors

Our majors will prepare you to report the news, design graphics, analyze databases, create websites, execute social media campaigns and manage public relations and advertising accounts. You will graduate with skills and areas of specialization that will make you highly recruited and prepared to excel in the fast-paced, digital world. 

General Information

A minimum of 120 semester hours of credit is required for all of our degrees. A minimum of 40 to 49 hours will complete the Carolina Core requirements and either a 12-hour cognate or 18-hour minor. 

Please understand that you are responsible for understanding the degree requirements in your major field. If you have questions or need help, contact your assigned academic advisor.
