An SCHC alumna who tends to go by Cami, she is thrilled to work at her alma mater, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Middle Level Education in 2016. During her undergraduate studies, Cami acted in various campus productions, led the Top Scholars Relay for Life team, and sang in Cockappella (USC’s coed a cappella group) serving as the Vice President and Music Director.

Cami taught middle school science in West Columbia for the five years, where she has worked to incorporate the arts into STEM instruction (a product of her Honors Senior Thesis) and develop her educational leadership skills through various roles. In the summer of 2021, Cami graduated from Columbia College with a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration and completed the Trauma-Informed Practices certificate program. She is passionate about making all levels of education more accessible and culturally respectful, as well as helping students develop the real-world skills necessary to achieve their potentials. 

In her free time, Cami enjoys singing with her ukulele or piano; drawing minimalist, natured-inspired designs; teaching her dog Teddy new tricks; and keeping her cat Gary out of her plants. She aspires to restart teaching Zumba classes and begin a doctoral degree in the next few years. Cami is looking forward to learning from the incredible SCHC faculty and staff and hopes to avoid gaining the freshman fifteen all over again in the Honors Residence Hall!
