New process for requesting family sick leave

Effective June 16, a minor change occurred in how eligible employees request to use the 10 days of family sick leave.

  • Employees will now select Sick Leave Family as the Absence Type instead of selecting Sick Leave with a reason of Family Sick Leave or Sick Leave with a reason of FMLA Family.

This change will enable employees to use both Sick Leave Family and Sick Leave for Personal reasons on the same day, if necessary.

Action Required: Absence requests submitted for Sick Leave/Family Sick Leave and Sick Leave /FMLA Family, on or after June 16, must be cancelled and resubmitted under the new Absence Type Sick Leave Family in the Time and Absence System.
