Below are common questions and answers about our LEAD, Managing High Performing Teams and Effective Communications certificate programs.

Shortened sessions have been provided to departments; however, these sessions do not count toward the requirements. Shortened versions often omit significant sections of the full courses and key concepts are not covered.

To meet the requirements, you must attend the entire course. Employees are expected to arrive on time, and stay until the course is completed. However, we will consider individual situations on a case-by-case basis.

Some courses have been offered as live webinars.  Please check the training calendar for scheduling information.

Yes, we will be happy to set up a time for your campus as long as there are at least 10 participants registered to attend. Organizational and Professional Development has delivered courses for most of the extended campuses.

There is no cost associated with attending courses in a certificate program.

No-shows may be charged unless cancellations are confirmed 48 hours prior to the class date.

Employees who register for multiple dates of the same course, and do not cancel them may also be charged.

You may log into your training account to view your training record. Use the Certificate of Completion Checklist [pdf] to help keep track of your progress. Please note, in order to log into this system you must have already created a training account.

The best approach to obtaining your employee's training record is to request it directly from the employee. The record that the employee can provide will be identical to the record that we have available. You may also find it helpful to track your employee's progress by using the Certificate of Completion Checklist [pdf].

Of course! We recognize all graduates who successfully complete a certificate program. Graduates are acknowledged once a month and will be listed on OPD's Professional Development webpage.
