Position

Kara Law manages the financial and administrative operations of the college. Law provides guidance, monitoring and analysis to administration and departments. Additionally, Law oversee activities related to human resources, facilities, and information technology.

Background

Law previously served as the director of finance for the Division of Student Affairs and Academic Support at the University of South Carolina. She was responsible for $95 million in budgets encompassing more than 30 departments and five responsibility units for the division.

Additionally, Law has served as a tuition and budget analyst in the University Budget Office where she provided budget oversight and training for a variety of USC administrative units and specialized in fee management and revenue projections for the university. She also chaired the Tuition Refund Appeal Committee and was a member of the Service Unit Allocation Committee.

Before joining USC, Law worked for an industry-leading distribution company with progressively greater responsibility in roles including project management, general ledger accounting, accounts receivable and treasury management.

Law is pursing her doctorate in educational leadership and policies at USC.
