Sonoco Visiting Fellow sharing her inspirational leadership endeavors with students, faculty, staff and community leaders
Tetiwe Nzimah, a dynamic global leader from Zambia, is widely recognized for her outstanding service, visionary leadership and transformative impact within Junior Chamber International (JCI).
Serving as the 2024 JCI executive vice president, she championed the powerful call to “#LevelUp”, a rallying cry that inspired action, strengthened partnerships and fostered sustainable growth across Africa, the Middle East and beyond. Through her role, she has engaged with diverse stakeholders, empowering young leaders to embrace innovation, inclusivity and resilience as tools for driving meaningful change.
Nzimah is a Darla Moore School of Business 2025 Sonoco Visiting Fellow, a designation bestowed upon global scholars and practitioners that travel to the Moore School to:
- Engage with international business groups within the university and across the state of South Carolina.
- Collaborate with faculty on research initiatives.
- Present topics of expertise to Moore School students and faculty/staff through seminars, guest lectures and the Folks Center Pathways Speaker Series.
Nzimah’s innovative and entrepreneurial approaches to solving pervasive challenges align with the Darla Moore School’s Office of Access, Opportunity, and Community Engagement, which is led by Associate Dean Deb Hazzard, Ph.D., who is also a full professor of management.

Beyond her global civic leadership, Nzimah is the founder & CEO of Kiddies Commute, Zambia’s pioneering child mobility and safety innovation. The company provides structured, technology-enabled school transportation solutions, addressing safety concerns in child commutes while empowering parents and schools. Kiddies Commute’s groundbreaking model has earned both local and international recognition, including the 2025 UN Women Global Entrepreneurship Award, cementing Nzimah’s reputation as a forward-thinking entrepreneur committed to solutions that advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
As an international speaker, mentor and career coach, Nzimah is passionate about cultivating purpose-driven leaders and advancing youth empowerment, women’s entrepreneurship and inclusive communities. She also serves as a board advisor at SEAT Africa, where she provides strategic counsel to strengthen innovation, governance and social impact across industries.
