The Accounting Scholars program is designed to enhance the academic experience of high-achieving accounting students.

Who Should Apply?

All first-year students interested in pursuing a highly engaging experience with unique opportunities that enhance accounting coursework, including access to industry professionals, alumni, and advanced development opportunities, are invited to apply. Admission requirements are outlined below and will include interviews with accounting faculty. The admission process begins by applying through the Moore School Common Application in the spring of your first year. Formal interviews will occur for finalists in the fall semester of their second year. 

Minimum Admission Requirements

  • Only current first-year students who have completed or are currently enrolled in ACCT 225 are eligible to apply. 
  • Students must be full-time undergraduate students who intend to declare accounting as their major and must remain an accounting major to stay in the program.
  • Students studying abroad for the entire semester after program admittance (e.g., the spring semester of their second year) are ineligible as they will miss essential content related to the program.
