Global Business Experience
From Asia to South America and everywhere in between, our students spend a semester immersed in the cultures of regions where they work on internships with multinational companies.
In the early 1970s, the Moore School made the bold decision to internationalize its business curriculum. This innovative step spawned what have now become the Moore School’s flagship programs:
- The world-class International MBA
- The top-ranked undergraduate international business program
- The premier Faculty Development in International Business (FDIB) program
As the world’s economies continue to intertwine, corporations worldwide are searching for professionals who are multilingual, have knowledge of other cultures and have experience working in multiple countries. The Moore School is the only business school preparing its graduates to be truly effective in global management because of its unique offerings:
- International business curriculum
- Foreign language instruction overseas
- International internships
Our international business programs have remained unmatched, consistently earning the school top rankings in international business by U.S. News & World Report since its rankings began in 1989.
The Moore School’s combination of internationalized curriculum, overseas language instruction and global internships enables our graduates to hit the ground running anywhere they land. No matter where our graduates work — in the United States or abroad — they are able to think and act globally.
At the Darla Moore School of Business, the world is our classroom.
The Office of International Activities
In the Office of International Activities, our goal is to maintain and grow the Moore School's international presence so that we can offer our students a challenging and inspiring education. We hope to create our world's future global leaders. With over 50 countries in which to study and over 21 faculty-led study abroad options, we are dedicated to introducing students to new cultures and people. This will ensure that they receive the most comprehensive business education possible, no matter their major or interests.
Faculty-led study abroad
The Darla Moore School of Business offers short-term study abroad courses to all majors. These courses give students exposure to new ideas and cultures without taking a full semester away from classes at South Carolina. In faculty-led courses, students have access to Moore School faculty, multinational business meetings and outstanding cultural experiences. These study abroad courses are led in marketing, finance, international business and management science. For more information, check out the full list of our current courses in the Global Classrooms section, or contact email@example.com.
The exchange programs offered by the Office of International Activities include numerous opportunities for both inbound and outbound students.
