My most impactful experience here at Carolina has been my work with the Carolina Judicial Council, which gave me an opportunity to support my community by working on Conduct, Academic Integrity and Title IX cases. I feel that it gave me a chance to stick up for what I believe in and make my voice heard.

Career plans: I hope someday to practice international law, dealing with international commercial transactions, mergers, and acquisitions.

Most impactful experience: My most impactful experience here at Carolina has been my work with the Carolina Judicial Council, which gave me an opportunity to support my community by working on Conduct, Academic Integrity and Title IX cases. I feel that it gave me a chance to stick up for what I believe in and make my voice heard.

Best part of the Top Scholars program: I love the community and the friendships I've made through the Scholar community, but I also love the countless opportunities for learning and growth!

UofSC Story: When I entered college as an Economics major, I knew I loved econ theory, but thought that I hated math. I never imagined that I could participate in undergraduate research, let alone purely quantitative research. After taking International Developmental Economics with Dr. Saenz, all of this changed. Dr. Saenz hired me as a research assistant, and I learned how to code, opening up an entirely new world of economics. I learned how much I loved the stories hidden in the statistics of international economics, and I decided that even after going to law school, international economics and development is a field I want to continue to be involved in. I know that I will carry these skills with me for the rest of my life.
